This record entitled “Nomad” is number 14 on my list of incredible albums of 2013 by a group….or a man I should say called Bombino. He is from Northern Africa near the Sahara desert. The album title is fitting due to his lifestyle. Always on the run. Escaped violence and various wars. So the guitar became his refuge and started a band.
Incredible guitar skills, melodies and cool vibes. Amazing! Outstanding! Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys does a solid job producing these electric mantra strumming and the mesmerizing African dialect. The vocals are foreign to my ears but it’s just so hypnotic. Check it out:
